MSTIDE (MS Training for Impaired Driving Enforcement) offers free, on-site/local DUI enforcement training throughout the state. We teach the NHTSA based curriculums for SFST, ARIDE and DRE. The program proposes to provide technical assistance and training to law enforcement agencies through the state which will assist in the increase in DUI Alcohol and Drug arrest.
Classes are NHTSA based curriculums for SFST, ARIDE and DRE. The SFST training is 24 hours and the ARIDE training is 16 hours. SFST is the foundation for all impaired driving investigations that utilize the 3 validated field sobriety tests. ARIDE expands on the SFST foundation and provides an officer with additional tools to detect and arrest drug-impaired drivers. DRE is an expert level course for drug-impaired driving.
