The Division of Public Safety Planning is divided into four areas:

  • Office of Justice Programs
  • Office of Standards & Training
  • Mississippi Office of Highway Safety
  • Mississippi Leadership Council on Aging

Federal grants received and administered through Public Safety Planning include the following:

  • Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (Byrne JAG)
  • Paul Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement (Coverdell)
  • Residential Substance Abuse Treatment for State Prisoners (RSAT)
  • OJJDP Title II Formula Grant (Title II)
  • Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (MOHS)
  • Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN)
