Mandy Mitchell Davis, Deputy Commissioner

As Deputy Commissioner for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, Ms. Davis oversees the Mississippi Forensics Laboratory, the Office of the State Medical Examiner, and the Facilities and Maintenance Division.

Prior to joining the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, Ms. Davis served as Policy Director for the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Ms. Davis has 20 years of experience in state government, having worked in the fields of public policy and human resources for the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency, the Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration, and the Office of the Mississippi State Treasurer.

Ms. Davis holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Millsaps College, a Master of Public Policy and Administration degree from Mississippi State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History degree from Mississippi State University.
